Napoli’s president appears to have all but confirmed that Everton are set to sign midfielder, Allan.

Allan’s Napoli stint

Allan joined Napoli in 2015 from fellow Italian side, Udinese.

The Naples-based outfit are understood to have paid just over £10m for the Brazilian’s services.

Allan has since gone on to notch over 200 appearances for the club, scoring 11 and assisting 16 along the way.

The eight-time capped international, who has just under three years remaining on his current deal, also featured fairly heavily this past season – garnering 33 appearances across all competitions.

‘Allan is joining Everton’

Despite his fairly lengthy contract and him still being a regular in the Azzurri’s midfield, Allan’s time at Napoli looks to be coming to an end.

The 29-year-old has been pretty heavily linked with a move to Premier League outfit Everton in recent weeks, were his former boss Carlo Ancelotti is of course manager.

It was then reported on Saturday by the highly reliable Fabrizio Romano that Napoli and Everton had reached a ‘total agreement’ for the player.

The Toffees will reportedly pay €25m plus add-ons to bring the midfielder to Goodison Park.

Now, as mentioned above, Napoli present Aurelio de Laurentiis has since all but confirmed the move, stating that Allan is joining Everton with the deal to be announced soon:

“Allan is joining Everton. The deal will be announced soon”.
