Granit Xhaka is enjoying a new lease of life at Arsenal after becoming the beneficiary of an unexpected turnaround since Mikel Arteta was appointed manager.

Xhaka appeared almost certain to leave north London after telling his own fans to “f*ck off” but has instead established himself as a key player under Arteta.

We’ve compared Arsenal’s record in the 2019-20 Premier League when Xhaka started (and played at least 45 minutes, so that eight-minute start against Manchester City doesn’t count) to when the midfielder is out of the team.
