A pair of interesting quotes surrounding Chelsea star Christian Pulisic are doing the rounds online on Thursday evening.
21-year-old winger Pulisic signed for Chelsea in January of last year, before linking up with his new teammates in the summer.
And, despite his tender years and a couple of rocky patches, the former Dortmund man subsequently went on to thoroughly impress during his debut season in the Premier League.
The weeks following the resumption of English football in June saw Pulisic begin to showcase what he is truly capable of on a consistent basis, with key contributions versus the likes of Manchester City, Aston Villa and Norwich having proven crucial to Chelsea clinching a top-4 berth.

All told, across 34 appearances in all competitions in 2019/20, the United States international racked up 11 goals and 10 assists.
Highlighting Pulisic’s stellar first season in England, meanwhile, were a host of standout individual attributes.
The youngster possesses dazzling quick feet, pace to burn, the ability to ghost by opposing defenders at will and, perhaps most significantly of all, a finished product.
Such characteristics, in turn, have inevitably seen early comparisons drawn between Pulisic and one of the finest players of Chelsea’s recent past.
The individual in question is Eden Hazard, who Pulisic was essentially brought in to replace ahead of the Belgian superstar’s long-awaited move to Real Madrid last summer.
Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino, for one, has already revealed his opinion that the American in fact possesses the required traits to surpass Hazard’s standing at Stamford Bridge.
And, interestingly, another of the Blues’ one-time stars has today echoed a similar sentiment.
Speaking in an interview with Gentingbet, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who lined out in southwest London from 2000 to 2004, suggested that Pulisic’s debut campaign at Stamford Bridge proved more impressive than that of Hazard, before suggesting that the former could develop into an ‘even better’ player:
‘Christian Pulisic has been a revelation.’
‘If you compare him to when Hazard first came to Chelsea, Pulisic has in my opinion done better. Hazard then went and became an absolutely brilliant star and carried everyone on his shoulders by winning games on his own. Pulisic can be the same – maybe even better.’
‘It’s not fair to compare them but Pulisic has done magnificently. I would just like him to be a little bit more clinical in terms of goals. I think he can score more goals.’
‘Biggest clubs in the world’
Further comments doing the rounds online this evening, however, have floated the possibility of Pulisic departing Chelsea at some point down the line, to join another of European football’s heavyweights.
During an in-depth discussion with SportBild, United States national team boss Gregg Berhalter was drawn on the talents of his country’s crown jewel, with the American having outlined clubs of the stature of Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid as potential future landing spots for Pulisic:
‘If Christian maintains this level, he can play for the biggest clubs in the world like Bayern, Barcelona or Real Madrid without any problems.’
