Brighton vs Chelsea
Chelsea are set to return to competitive action in seven days’ time
The English top-flight, of course, is set to return our screens on September 12th, after a break of less than two months.
Chelsea, though, will be one of the final sides to return to Premier League action.
The Blues will travel to the Amex Stadium to face Brighton on Monday the 14th.
Chelsea boast a superb record against the Seagulls, having not lost to them since 1933 and having beaten and drawn with them last term.
Havertz & Chilwell latest
Frank Lampard, obviously, has a plethora of new additions to choose from in the forthcoming campaign.
All of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva are set to ply their trade at Stamford Bridge in 2020/21.
Now, with Chelsea just a week away from returning to action, an update on two of Chelsea’s new boys and their potential involvement vs Brighton has today emerged online.
The update comes courtesy of Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, who first provided some insight into Havertz’s short spell at Chelsea so far.
Despite only signing for the Blues’ last week, it is believed that Havertz has really impressed in his early training sessions and should be ready for the Brighton game.
Kinsella then provided an update on Chilwell, who has been dealing with a foot injury for some time now.
And unlike Havertz, the full-back is a doubt to face Brighton and Liverpool:
Hearing Kai Havertz has really impressed with the group in his early training sessions as you would expect. He should be ready for Brighton. Chilwell isn’t looking likely to make the first two matches. #CFC
