Premier League outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers have this afternoon confirmed that star man Raul Jimenez has penned a new deal with the club.

Jimenez shining

Mexican hitman Jimenez has been plying his trade at Molineux for a little over two years now.

After thoroughly impressing during his debut campaign in England, the 29-year-old’s production went on to reach even greater heights last time out.

In a hefty 55 outings across all competitions, Jimenez racked up 27 goals and 10 assists, leading the line for Nuno Espirito Santo’s men with physical presence and, crucially, an end product.

The early weeks of the new season, meanwhile, have seen him continue to impress, with 2 goals in Wolves’ first 3 Premier League fixtures.

Raul staying put

Jimenez’s stellar exploits, in turn, inevitably resulted in speculation this summer that the Mexican was being eyed up by some of European football’s heavyweights.

The likes of Manchester United and Juventus were both named as keen suitors, amid claims of potential big-money proposals for Jimenez.

Evidently, however, to this point, Wolves have managed to fend off all interest in their star attacker.

And, as outlined above, the board at Molineux have today gone one better again.

In a post across the club’s social media platforms a short time ago, Wolves announced that Jimenez has committed his long-term future to Nuno Santo’s men.

The former Benfica man has put pen to paper on a new contract, through to 2024:
